Description
This 15-minute creamy garlic shrimp is rich, buttery, and perfect with crusty bread for dipping. A quick skillet meal for weeknights or date night.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream, Parmesan (if using), and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes.
- Serve hot with crusty bread.
Notes
Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce. Add spinach or tomatoes for variety. Best eaten fresh, not frozen.
