Description

This 15-minute creamy garlic shrimp is rich, buttery, and perfect with crusty bread for dipping. A quick skillet meal for weeknights or date night.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute.
  2. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream, Parmesan (if using), and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes.
  5. Serve hot with crusty bread.

Notes

Use half-and-half for a lighter sauce. Add spinach or tomatoes for variety. Best eaten fresh, not frozen.
