Description
A soft, healthy oat-based mug cake that’s vegan, gluten-free, and ready in 5 minutes. The perfect fast dessert or snack with no mess.
Ingredients
½ ripe banana (or ⅓ cup applesauce)
3 tbsp rolled oats
2 tbsp almond milk
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp maple syrup
¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Pinch of salt
Optional: 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips or berries
Instructions
1. Mash banana in a microwave-safe mug.
2. Add almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla; stir well.
3. Stir in oats, baking powder, salt, and mix-ins if using.
4. Let sit for 1 minute for oats to soften.
5. Microwave on high for 1½ to 2 minutes until set but soft.
6. Let it cool for 1 minute before eating. Enjoy!
Notes
Use certified gluten-free oats if needed. Adjust sweetness to taste. For a gooier texture, reduce microwave time by 10–15 seconds.
