Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Boil the cubed potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper.
- Brown the beef or lamb, then add onions, carrots, and peas. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and beef broth. Simmer until vegetables are tender.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish, then top with mashed potatoes and cheese.
