Description

Butterfinger balls are a no-bake dessert made with crushed Butterfinger candy bars, cream cheese, and graham crackers, coated in melted chocolate. These bite-sized treats are easy to make, customizable, and perfect for parties, holidays, or as a quick indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 4 Butterfinger candy bars (crushed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or cookies
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ cups melted chocolate (milk, white, or dark)
  • Optional toppings: sprinkles, nuts, or shredded coconut

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Gather all the required ingredients to ensure a smooth preparation process.
  • Crush Candy Bars: Place the Butterfinger candy bars in a resealable plastic bag and crush them into small pieces using a rolling pin or a food processor. Reserve a small amount for topping if desired.
  • Mix Base Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and crushed Butterfinger candy bars. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
  • Add Crushed Graham Crackers: Stir in the crushed graham crackers or cookies to create a firmer dough.
  • Roll Mixture into Balls: Use your hands or a small scoop to roll the mixture into bite-sized balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Chill the Balls: Refrigerate the balls for 30 minutes to help them firm up.
  • Melt Chocolate: Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring between each to avoid burning.
  • Coat the Balls: Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Add Toppings: Before the chocolate hardens, decorate the balls with sprinkles, nuts, or the reserved crushed Butterfinger candy.
  • Set and Serve: Allow the chocolate coating to set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results. Once hardened, transfer the butterfinger balls to a serving plate or airtight container.

Notes

  • For a creamier variation, add a tablespoon of peanut butter to the base mixture.
  • White or dark chocolate can be used as an alternative coating.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for up to two months.
