  • 1 lb chipped beef, sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter (for dumplings)
  • 4 cups water (for boiling dumplings)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, mashed potatoes, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Add the egg and knead the dough until smooth. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour.
  • Roll the dough into small balls or oval shapes, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook for 10-12 minutes or until they rise to the surface.
  • Meanwhile, sauté chipped beef in a pan with butter over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, prepare mashed potatoes by combining boiled potatoes, milk, and butter. Mash until smooth.
