Description
Sticky, crispy honey garlic chicken thighs ready in 25 minutes—sweet-savory glaze, crunchy skin, and juicy meat with pantry staples.
Ingredients
6 bone‑in, skin‑on chicken thighs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup (60 ml) honey
2 tbsp soy sauce (low‑sodium optional)
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar (optional)
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar (if using), and red pepper flakes.
3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear thighs skin-side down for 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
4. Flip thighs and pour honey-garlic mixture into the pan. Let it bubble for 30 seconds.
5. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 200 °C (400 °F) and roast for 10–12 minutes.
6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon glaze over each thigh.
Notes
Dry skin equals crispier texture.
Add red pepper flakes for a gentle kick.
Simmer leftover sauce for extra thick glaze.
