Crockpot Chicken Alfredo Tortellini is creamy, cheesy, and full of comforting flavor. With tender chicken, cheese-filled tortellini, and a rich Alfredo sauce, this slow cooker dinner is an easy family favorite for any night of the week.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups chicken broth
1 jar Alfredo sauce (about 15 oz)
1 cup heavy cream
1 package cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
1 cup shredded parmesan
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Place chicken, onion, garlic, chicken broth, Alfredo sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into your crockpot. Stir gently to combine.
2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until the chicken is tender.
3. Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks and mix well.
4. Add heavy cream, tortellini, and shredded parmesan. Stir gently, cover, and cook for another 20–30 minutes on LOW until the tortellini is soft and sauce becomes creamy.
5. Top with fresh parsley and serve hot. Enjoy over garlic bread or salad for a complete meal.
Notes
To store: Cool completely and refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freeze portions for up to 3 months and thaw overnight before reheating.
To reheat: Warm on the stove over medium-low heat with a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.
Microwave in short intervals, stirring often for even heating.
Add extra parmesan or parsley before serving to refresh flavor.
