Description
Crockpot Crack Chicken is a creamy, cheesy slow cooker favorite made with tender chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, and herbs. It’s rich, comforting, and incredibly easy to make, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon garlic
1 teaspoon dried chives
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried dill
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic, then place it in the crockpot.
2. Pour in chicken broth and place the block of cream cheese on top.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
4. Shred the chicken directly in the pot using two forks.
5. Add shredded cheddar, chives, parsley, and dill, then stir until melted and creamy.
6. Serve hot over rice, baked potatoes, or on sandwich buns.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
To freeze, cool completely and store in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months.
Reheat gently on the stove with a splash of milk or broth to keep it creamy.
Try adding crispy bacon bits or green onions on top for extra flavor.
