Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 large egg
2 cups huckleberries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add butter and egg, then mix until the dough comes together.
3. Press two-thirds of the dough into the pan to form the crust. Top with huckleberries.
4. Crumble the remaining dough over the huckleberries to form the topping.
5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen huckleberries. Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
