Easy Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak features juicy beef patties simmered in a rich mushroom gravy, perfect for cozy dinners and stress-free cooking.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (85%)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cold water
1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
2. Shape into 4–6 oval patties.
3. (Optional) Brown patties in a skillet for 2 minutes per side.
4. Place patties and mushrooms in slow cooker.
5. Whisk together beef broth, cornstarch, and water; pour over patties.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
7. If needed, thicken gravy in the last 30 minutes by whisking in extra cornstarch slurry.
8. Serve warm over mashed potatoes or noodles.
Notes
You can prep the night before and refrigerate, then cook fresh the next day. Leftovers freeze well for up to 3 months.
