Description
A crispy and creamy appetizer that blends the tangy flavor of goat cheese with the spicy kick of jalapeños, all wrapped in a crunchy egg roll wrapper. Perfect for parties, snacks, or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 10 egg roll wrappers
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 2 jalapeños, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Oil for frying (if frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the jalapeños: Wash, deseed, and finely chop the peppers. Adjust the amount based on your spice tolerance.
- Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine goat cheese with chopped jalapeños. Add optional ingredients such as herbs or garlic powder.
- Set up your workspace: Lay out the egg roll wrappers on a clean surface. Keep a small bowl of water or egg wash nearby for sealing.
- Assemble the rolls: Place a spoonful of filling near one corner of the wrapper. Fold the corner over the filling, then roll tightly while folding in the sides. Seal the edge with water or egg wash.
- Fry or bake the rolls: If frying, heat oil to 350°F and fry the rolls until golden and crispy. If baking, preheat the oven to 375°F, place the rolls on a baking sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve with your favorite dips.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
- For a healthier option, bake instead of frying.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
