Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14 oz) kidney beans, drained
1 can (14 oz) black beans, drained
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional, for fall flavor)
2 cups broth or water

Cornbread, shredded cheddar, scallions, sour cream, pumpkin seeds
Instructions
1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
2. Add ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
3. Stir in bell peppers and cook another 2 minutes.
4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, and broth.
5. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
8. Serve hot with desired toppings like cornbread or cheddar.
Notes
Add more broth if you prefer thinner chili.
