Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup French fried onions
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-5 minutes until slightly tender, then drain.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the green beans to the mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  • Pour the green bean mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top (optional).
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle French fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until crispy and golden.
