Description

Healthy Air Fryer Churro Bites are golden, crispy, and dusted with cinnamon without the oil or refined sugar of traditional churros. A guilt-free sweet snack ready in minutes.


Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour)

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)

⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)

2 tbsp coconut sugar (or maple sugar)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt


Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

2. Add melted coconut oil, almond milk, vanilla, and 1 tbsp coconut sugar. Stir until a dough forms.

3. Roll dough into bite-sized balls and place on parchment paper.

4. Brush with a light coat of coconut oil and sprinkle with cinnamon.

5. Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Place churro bites in basket in a single layer.

6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden brown.

7. Toss finished bites in the remaining cinnamon and coconut sugar before serving.

Notes

Use oat flour or gluten-free blend for gluten-free churros.

For indulgence, dip bites in melted dark chocolate.

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated in the air fryer.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days.
