Ingredients

34 small patty pan squash (about 1 lb)

2 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp Italian seasoning

2 tbsp grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Wash and dry the patty pan squash.

3. Slice into ½-inch rounds and trim ends.

4. Toss squash with olive oil and seasonings.

5. Lay slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.

6. Sprinkle with parmesan if using.

7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

8. Remove when edges are golden and squash is fork-tender.

Notes

Use smaller squash for better texture.

Add chili flakes for heat or lemon zest for brightness.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
