This Matcha Tiramisu recipe combines the creamy richness of traditional tiramisu with the earthy flavors of matcha. A perfect dessert for matcha lovers!
Ingredients
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup matcha powder
- 24 ladyfingers
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (for dusting)
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and thickened.
- In another bowl, dissolve the matcha powder in hot water and stir in honey (if using).
- Quickly dip the ladyfingers in the matcha mixture, ensuring they are not soaked too long.
- Layer the soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
- Spread a layer of mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the process to form another layer of ladyfingers and mascarpone.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Before serving, dust with matcha powder and cocoa powder for garnish.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave syrup if you prefer a different sweetener.
- For a stronger matcha flavor, add a little more matcha powder to the cream mixture.
