Description

This easy-to-make pecan pie bark is a delightful combination of crunchy pecans, smooth chocolate, and the sweet taste of a traditional pecan pie. Perfect for holidays, gifting, or any sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecans evenly on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour the caramel mixture over the toasted pecans on the baking sheet. Gently stir to coat the pecans evenly.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips in separate heatproof bowls in the microwave or over a double boiler.
  • Drizzle both melted chocolates over the pecan and caramel mixture. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  • Let the mixture cool completely. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a variation, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt over the top before the chocolate sets for a sweet-and-salty touch.
  • Be sure to let the bark cool completely before breaking it into pieces to prevent the chocolate from being too soft.
