Celebrate this 4th of July with a colorful and delicious Red White & Blue Trifle. With layers of angel food cake, whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries, this festive dessert will impress at any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake (cubed)
  • 2 cups whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cube the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a trifle dish, layer cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Top with a layer of whipped cream, followed by fresh strawberries and blueberries.
  4. Repeat layers until the dish is filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
