Description
Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is classic comfort food made easy. Juicy beef patties simmer in rich mushroom gravy for a hearty, homemade-style dinner.
Ingredients
1½ lbs ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
2 packets brown gravy mix
2 cups beef broth
1 onion, sliced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
1. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
2. Shape into 5 to 6 oval patties.
3. Place the patties into the slow cooker along with the sliced onion and mushrooms.
4. Whisk together the brown gravy mix and beef broth until smooth.
5. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the beef patties.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until the patties are tender and cooked through.
7. Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
Notes
To store: Cool completely, then refrigerate in airtight containers for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
To reheat: Warm gently in a skillet over medium-low heat or in the microwave until hot.
