Description

A cozy, fuss-free Slow Cooker Apple Crisp with tender apples and a crunchy oat topping, perfect served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

6 medium apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)

1 cup old-fashioned oats

1 cup brown sugar (divided)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup butter (melted)

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Toss them with cinnamon, nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.

2. Place the apple mixture evenly in the bottom of your slow cooker.

3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.

4. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.

5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 5–6 hours, until apples are soft and topping is crisp.

6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use paper towels under the lid to reduce moisture and keep the topping crisper.

Best served warm. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
