Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed buttery crackers (e.g., Ritz)
1/3 cup finely diced onion
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 cup ketchup (optional for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Grease or line a loaf pan with foil.
3. In a large bowl, gently mix together beef, cheddar, crushed crackers, onion, and egg until just combined.
4. Transfer mixture to the loaf pan and shape evenly.
5. Spread ketchup on top, if using.
6. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
