Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
- 1/2 lb sushi-grade tuna, chopped into small cubes
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (preferably Kewpie)
- 1–2 tsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4–5 sheets nori (seaweed)
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- Soy sauce (for serving)
- Pickled ginger (for serving)
- Wasabi (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down.
- Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about 1 inch at the top.
- Add the spicy tuna mixture and avocado slices in the center.
- Roll the sushi tightly using the sushi mat, sealing the edge with a little water.
- Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
Notes
- For a milder roll, reduce the amount of sriracha sauce.
