Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
  • 1/2 lb sushi-grade tuna, chopped into small cubes
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (preferably Kewpie)

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 45 sheets nori (seaweed)
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • Soy sauce (for serving)
  • Pickled ginger (for serving)
  • Wasabi (for serving)

Instructions

  • Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  • In a bowl, combine the chopped tuna, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  • Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down.
  • Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about 1 inch at the top.
  • Add the spicy tuna mixture and avocado slices in the center.
  • Roll the sushi tightly using the sushi mat, sealing the edge with a little water.
  • Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
