  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed meal (optional, for extra nutrition)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix warm water, honey, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
  • Add olive oil and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
