Description
These crispy and savory turkey fries are easy to make, flavorful, and perfect for snacks, appetizers, or even as a unique side dish. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces!
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey (or turkey breast)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free if preferred)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or oil of your choice for frying)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (optional for extra crunch)
- Fresh herbs like parsley or thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the fryer or heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small fry shapes, or use a spoon to scoop out portions and shape them into fries.
- Optionally, dip each turkey fry into flour to coat for extra crunch.
- Fry the turkey fries in the hot oil for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For healthier turkey fries, you can bake them instead of frying. Simply coat them lightly with olive oil and bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Add extra spices to customize the flavor to your preference.
- For a crispy exterior, double coat the fries with breadcrumbs and flour before frying.
