Description

This strawberry earthquake cake recipe combines a gooey, creamy center with a rich, swirled topping of cream cheese and chocolate. A simple, delicious dessert everyone will love!


Ingredients

  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Swirl the cream cheese mixture into the cake using a butter knife.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped strawberries evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is set and slightly golden.
  • Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
