Description
This strawberry earthquake cake recipe combines a gooey, creamy center with a rich, swirled topping of cream cheese and chocolate. A simple, delicious dessert everyone will love!
Ingredients
- 1 box of strawberry cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Swirl the cream cheese mixture into the cake using a butter knife.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped strawberries evenly over the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is set and slightly golden.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra creamy texture, you can add a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk on top before baking.
